Hello fellow hikers!
This hike is led by an experienced certified guide and requires you to visit her link (below) to sign up for her hike. I have signed up for it already, I have let the leader Lucinda, know my intentions to post on our club calendar. She let me know that as of June 1st, there are 3 spots open. It costs $89.74 and you pay her, the leader, when you sign up. I am looking for others from this club to join me and perhaps organize a car pool and maybe even share accommodations?
Everyone who registers here for my event, will be put on the waitlist until I know you have paid the 3rd party hiking guide at this link below:

This is a 9.7 km round trip day beginner hike with lakes and waterfalls in the Kananaskis area. I have not hired her to lead us specifically it is open to the public. Register to this event so I know you are interested and then I can contact you after for travel & accommodation details.
I plan on choosing another one of her beginner hikes in later August, so stay tuned for that. If I can get a bunch together, she would give us a discount code for that future hike.

Here is the description of the hike from her Eventbrite site.
This hike is suitable for a beginner hiker . It is longer than most beginner hikes with some elevation gain.
Edworthy Falls via Elbow Lake Trail is 9.7 km (round trip) with 393m of elevation gain hike. There is a longer hill right at the start but after that it is flat. We will spend some time at the lake and the waterfalls! It is a popular spot due to the spectacular lake and Edworthy falls. It is just off Highway 40 past the winter gates. (Not to be confused with Elbow falls near Bragg Creek)
