Activity Type: Self arrest practice with axes for climbers and skiers/snowshoers

Difficulty Rating: Beginner

630 pm Mar 30 Monday

Itinerary: Show up at the Alfred H. Savage centre toboggan hill and practice self arrest with axes. We will have internet access so we can look up how it's done and practice. As of Mar 23rd there was enough snow but a couple bald spots we should avoid.

Learn and practice in a controlled environment before it's really needed.

Prerequisites / Courses Required: none

Required items to bring: axes if you have them, warm clothes, headlamps, knee pads or crash shorts if you want to wear them

As per club guidelines, participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and transportation.
